This is not exactly a replacement video, but it gives you a closer shot of what is going on when you open the shell and take out the parts. I suggest you watch from the beginning to 3:53 if this is your first time replacing the shell for your PS4 controller.

Then you will be able to follow the instructions from the official extremRate tutorial.
If you are replacing the shell with a PS4 controller released in recent years, this tutorial is probably what you would like to watch. (I am using this tutorial too)

Just a quick note before you break your controller.
1. Make sure your controller's model suits the product's description.
2. Be careful to open up the shell because there is a ribbon connecting to the back of the controller. The shell is kinda hard to open for the first time. It would be easier to use the tool that comes with the kit to open from the side a little bit first. Then hold the front plate of one side of the controller at the button with one hand and hold the back plate with the other hand.
Once one of the sides is open, you can try the same for the other side. You will be able to open the shell with this method. ###Again!! There is a ribbon, be careful!!####
3. The share button and option button for the controller I used cannot be replaced. I mean, it is more than risky to do so. I do not suggest you to take that risk. Also, I personally think that it looks cooler to keep the original PS button since it has the PlayStation mark and it matches the colour with the share button and option button.
4. The shell may or may not left a tiny gap. You may want to consider this if you are a perfectionist. Mine has a super tiny gap on the left. But I can’t tell if I am not looking at it closely.
5. Make sure you check if your controller functions before you tighten the screws on the back. I use my PS4 controller on my modded Switch and the L button did not function at first. I freaked out and thought about re-doing the whole thing. But the L button functioned again magically. Thank God, I did not have to do it over.
