This dialogue came from an old casting call for Sean and Daniel's voice actors which people found online a couple years ago.
*Sean and Daniel are lying on the bed, lit by a shaft of moon light, talking quietly.*
D: "Wow, Grandma and Grandpa are so nice... They act just like grandparents in movies..."
S: "Not til they give us some money... Wish they were rich. Then we'd be set. But they're pretty cool for being so old."
D: "Did you and Mom ever come out here before?"
S: "When I was about your age.. Dad and Mom got in a big fight so she got pissed and we drove out here... I don't remember everything."
D: "Why did Mom and Dad fight?"
S: "Because... Shit, I don't know. Parents fight. *(pause for remembrance)* I think Grandma got really mad at Mom for coming out though... They never did get along."
D: "She seems sad about Mom... What about Grandpa?"
S: "Everybody gets along with Grandpa. He's pretty fucking chill."
D: "He's funny. *(pause)* I wish Mom had taken us with her..."
S: "What? When she bailed on Dad? Fuck that shit. She blew it."
D: "Maybe... Maybe she left because of me..."
S: "Uh, no Daniel. She left because she's a selfish bitch. The End."
D: "Don't say that about Mom!"
S: "Gee, I don't see her around to punish us. Fuck her."
D: "Stop talking like that... Dad will punish you... *(beat)* Do you think she'll ever come back?"
S: "No, no way. She doesn't care about us anymore."
D: "*(sobbing)* Don't say that! *(sniffling pause)* You think?"
S: "No, Daniel, I don't think that... Mom just got... scared or something. She'll probably show up when we don't need her anymore."
D: “*(sobbing)* I need her... I wish she was here, I... I miss Dad... I miss when they would tuck me in and make me laugh..."
S: "Calm down, man... We're safe now. We got the Grandparents on our side... right?"
D: "Yeah, I guess..."
S: "Now go to sleep. Just think of that big breakfast they're gonna make in the morning just for us..."
D: "Mmmm. I'm hungry again..."
