🔪 Cut FPS to Increase Visuals? PICO 4, Virtual Desktop and Godlike Mode
In this video, we take a look at whether capping your frames per second is possible, or should be considered when playing VR with the PICO 4, or other VR headsets. Can you run with picture quality in GODLIKE mode on Virtual Desktop, and what are the downsides. This discussion was sparked on the PIC Discord, but if you go to any forum and ask a similar question, you are likely to get responses such as “you will be sick”, “why do you want to, that’s just stupid”, and “the world will end.” I believe it is a valid question though and there are use cases should it be possible, so stay tuned to find out…..
For info/as reference, please note that I have a 10600k Intel CPU, and an RTX 3080. So your mileage might vary depending on your system, the game, and options being sought.
