Cuties is DISTURBING AF! It's ALSO VERY GOOD and IMPORTANT! Cuties Review and/or Critique.
113Cuties. It's the movie that has everyone talking. Granted, many of those people talking about it have not seen it. But I have and I wanted to talk about it on this week's political Sunday stream. I was super disturbed by the movie. Which- I feel- is the point. And part of its power. Cuties on Netflix is powerful, very good, and important. As a dad who has raised a daughter, I can tell you: the world these tweens are in is not fantasy...social media makes it ROUGH for them (hell, for adults too). And when you toss in the fact that the lead character is almost parenting herself, well I tell ya: it's a recipe for disaster. Which is what happens in the story.
I respect you may not like the WAY the movie chooses to express itself but PLEASE don't dismiss it- as many have- as some sicko pedo movie. It is NOT that at all. It's a very loving, heartfelt, and KIND message about growing up, especially in modern times.

NOTE: This will be divisive. And heck, it's not even about games. But it is about pop culture so I figured we may try to make a home for it here on the channel. I don't have any plans to but this story/movie seemed worth chatting about.
