Cutzamala System Recovery: Dams Reach Their Highest Level Since 2020 | Indigo Report
The National Water Commission (Conagua) reported that the Cutzamala System currently reaches 70.7% of its capacity, the highest level recorded since 2020. Thanks to the rainfall and water management efforts, the El Bosque, Villa Victoria, and Valle de Bravo dams are showing significant recovery after the 2024 drought.
The storage capacity is equivalent to filling the Azteca Stadium 83 times and provides water to nearly five million people in the Metropolitan Area of the Valley of Mexico, as well as in municipalities in the State of Mexico and Hidalgo.
