Cyberpunk 2077 is a RPG (role playing game), which means players assume roles of characters in a fictional setting. Cyberpunk is no different, the role in this game are called lifepaths and after players customize their character, players can select 1 of 3 different Cyberpunk 2077 Lifepaths being Street Kid, Nomad or Corporate.

Cyberpunk 2077 | Pick The Right Cyberpunk Lifepath For You

Cyberpunk Lifepaths are important, this is your introduction to the Cyberpunk story, Cyberpunk characters and will have a lasting affecting on V throughout the Cyberpunk 2077 game. It is important to pick the right lifepath for your playstyle otherwise you will be limited in certain area and won't have the full experience that you're looking for in Cyberpunk.

Cyberpunk 2077 Nomad - The Cyberpunk 2077 Nomad lifepath will start out in the Badlands where V wants to get into Night City, V will need to be smuggled in. In the Cyberpunk nomad gameplay, V meets up with Jackie Welles to cross the border and things were going well until Arasaka Border Patrol stops them. This ends in a high speed chase.

Cyberpunk 2077 Street Kid - This Cyberpunk 2077 life path has V starting in Night City at the El Coyote Cojo bar in Heywood. V is given a job to steal one a hyper car. V successfully finds the car, gets in and starts the engine but before V can drive away, the door is opened and Jackie Welles is pointing a gun in V's face. They were both assigned to steal the same car. The Cyberpunk Night City Police Department shows up to arrest them both but somehow they successfully get away.

Cyberpunk 2077 Corporate - Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay shows Corporate V working for Arasaka trying to rise in the ranks. V is given a task from their boss to take out the competition, to help with the task, V meets up with their best friend, Jackie Welles. Together they develop a plan to take out the competition but V gets caught and loses of their privileges and benefits working for Arasaka.

You can see in the brief Cyberpunk life path descriptions above that each lifepath start differently with huge amounts of variation and possibilities in gameplay. There are other affects that this choice has on the gameplay, all of which is broken down in this CP 2077 video.
