It had to be done! Here is my full playthrough of the most hyped and controversial video game in history and what a game it is. 8 years in development hell, poor unplayable performance on the ps4 & xbox one. And extremely buggy on release for pc, however this game is a beautiful representation of what next gen should graphically be.

Set in a sandbox environment like GTA combined with the gameplay mechanics of Skyrim, and a levelling and customization system that suits your own playing style, makes this games is an absolute win. Its been a looong time where I have been hooked on a game and couldn't stop playing, this is in fact my third playthrough and now I want to get absolutely everything!

Please note that the following settings have been disabled due to personal preferences and have no impact on the performance of the RTX 3070:

Film Grain
Chromatic Aberration
Depth of Field

I am also not a big fan of DLSS, although the image the quality is sharp and clear when stationary but once you are in motion the environments become more aliased and blurry.

With Raytracing enabled the RTX 3070 runs at around 24 fps at 4k native so this option was also disabled (DLSS Disabled). The best performance I gained with a solid 60 fps was by running the game at 1440p and the optimised settings following digital foundry's optimised guide.

Personal review: 10 / 10
However I would say that this game is not for everyone so overall: 7/10

In contrast, it was widely criticized for bugs, particularly in the console versions which also suffered from performance issues; Sony removed it from the PlayStation Store on 17 December 2020.
