Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.2 Gameplay Performance on RTX 2060, Ryzen 5 1400
So the much awaited Patch 1.2 for Cyberpunk 2077, the one that promised to fix a lot of the bugs we had with the game, has finally dropped. And if we were to go by the patch notes, it is one humongous update, clocking in at just about 30GB on Steam. Question is, is it any good?
On my modest gaming rig, I had a hard time playing Cyberpunk 2077 at launch--and not just ‘coz of the bugs and the frequent crashes. My system was simply too weak to run this cutting-edge game even at 1080p, let alone with ray tracing. Still, I persevered a fair bit, giving it more time than I would any other game from any other developer because this is after all a CD Projekt Red game, from the studio that gave us The Witcher 3. But I finally gave up midway in frustration, promising to return to it when this patch released. That is now.
In this video I show you some instances of generic driving, walking and combat--without any spoilers of course. Some of my thoughts on the update are hard-coded in the video towards the end.
I know there’s a surfeit of Cyberpunk 2077 content out there but if you’d like to hear my full opinion on it (Oh, I have lots haha) please lemme know in the comments or on Twitter/Instagram.
