Inviting one of your NPC buddies to join you for this mission would be fun - I guess this is why it's not possible. No fun allowed! And you end the race by arriving to utter emptiness for complete unimmersiveness.

34:33 Random shooting between NCPD and bandits. Brain dead AI. The victors are utterly clueless what to do next and are just standing there in the middle of the road. Also, no backup arrives to either side. This is completely unimmersive, because bandits arrive in droves to fight you when you steal some dirty rusty good for nothing minivan from them. And NCPD keeps on coming after you if you accidentally hit some bum on the back alley (or, even better - in the middle of the badlands - spawning out of thin air behind your back). These game mechanics feel disjointed and artificial.
