The BOSS BATTLE theme for S.P.A.R.K.: SUPER-POWERED ANNIHILATOR ROBO-KOOPA, used when PhantomBuster Pollie, SINCRONIZED Shy Cyborg [CYRUS] and KOOPA NOCTEM [SKYLO] face off against S.P.A.R.K.

Whatever happened to S.P.A.R.K.? This Koopa Troopa robot was originally made by Dr. Specter, the Royal Scientist and inventor for Bowser's Minions. He is slightly modeled based on Skylo, one of the strongest Koopa Troopa warriors at the time of the robot's making. Originally intended to ward off third-party cyborgs and even the Mario Bros. themselves, S.P.A.R.K. found itself attacking Bowser's own minions and destroying his castle due to a HUGE programming oversight on Dr. Specter's end, causing it to TARGET EVERYONE it sees.

With Dr. Specter injured by the laser blasts, he's unable to fight, so Bowser has enlisted the help of Pollie, Shy Cyborg [CYRUS] and Skylo (KOOPA NOCTEM) to fight off the rampage of this super fighting robot! With new upgrades in tow that are battle-ready against such a dangerous machine, these three will engage in OPERATION S.P.A.R.K., a quest to finally shut down S.P.A.R.K. and save the day... and hopefully get Dr. Specter to fix all the bugs!

SONG'S BACKSTORY:
READY...AIM...FIRE! was inspired by various sources, including the songs Big Boned Plus and Big Boned Gentleman from Skeleton Boomerang, Castle (by RRThiel) from What a Mario World, and Ironmouse's CyberMouse cyborg model she revealed on her birthday stream.
The designs for S.P.A.R.K. and Pollie's PhantomBuster form were rescued from now-dormant Kirby/VShojo CYON of Gaia AU, which is no longer being worked on. As usual, a lot of songs and ideas have crossed over into SUPER MARIO RE:MIX.
This song was originally intended to be composed for Midnight Museum Mania only, but has since evolved to become the theme for S.P.A.R.K. as well outside of the SMBX projects related to SUPER MARIO RE:MIX. I kept the intent to compose it for MMM by also adding leitmotifs from my other track, SECURITY_BREACH.EXE:    • [Midnight Museum Mania OST] SECURITY_...  
The song was originally composed at 150 BPM to match with the inspirations drawn from Skeleton Boomerang's aforementioned music tracks, but I instead set it to 179 BPM due to the boss battle being potentially intense.
