Dan-Ku-Ga - Classic Arcade Fighting Game (Taito 1994)
This was an updated version of Taito's arcade fighting game "Kaiser Knuckle!" Though, "Dan-Ku-Ga" was never officially released to arcades. The game featured all the original characters from Kaiser Knuckle, but now added the ability to play as the bosses from the original game, including Gonzales and Azteca.
This is the prototype of the game, in which despite having the boss characters added as playable characters in the new game, it doesn't appear that all of Gonzales fighting maneuvers were programmed into the game; at least for players to make use of anyway. The CPU seems to have access to all moves, but players typically do not.
Here we played as the characters Marco and Kazuya. Marco is supposed to be a mutated human, but he looks more like a cross between a mummy and a monster. Kazuya is a martial arts fighter.
Dan-Ku-Ga also improved upon the fighting abilities of existing characters in the game. Most of the characters, including Marco, appear to have additional fighting maneuvers that weren't present in the original title.
Sadly, this series never saw any home console ports, but managed to be kept alive thanks to MAME. The game's control scheme followed similarly to that of the Street Fighter II series, but with potentially better graphics than SFII.
