Dan Wakefield's The Cop Movie (A college thriller)
Yeah I admit it. We did not use makeup. We improvised this movie and all its dialogue on the spot between me (Dan Wakefield), Tom Pennington and Adam Thomas and we filmed it back when we could GO OUTSIDE, MASKS WEREN'T FASHIONABLE and Covid-19's menace was a far from forming also this was edited by Tom Pennington who made the superior cut adding in gunshots.
Yes we were using Adam's Nerf guns.
The story was that Adam was a Harrison's Ford's Blade Runner character essentially, a cop, chasing after me, a injured villain with a disk drive that could incriminate Adam's character and that's as far as the story went.
We get into a stand off not that Adam's character knows it but my character was luring him into a trap.
Yeah you can see Josh Turner, Robbie Thompson and Jacob Varley in the background, they were trying to out do each other in tree pour kore. Tom Pennington was filming the scenes and the whole project took 45 minutes to shoot. I cannot improvise lines to save my life.
Thanks to Adam Thomas for bringing the guns and 33 percent of the film.
At the time I had a knee injury that I was healing from which was why I was running oddly. I did not want to aggravate the injury or re do the injury again. But I decided to use this as a quality for my character, I was basing my character off of Kurtwood Smith's Clarence Boddicker from Robocop (1987).
And thanks to Josh Turner for shooting me on behalf of the camera's hypnotic orders.
I hope you enjoy the video.
