SPOILER ALERT FOR DANGANRONPA DESPAIR ARC ANIME!
In Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair Episode Five, we all gather in the Dining Hall for the party. We examine the room and there are iron plates over the windows. We talk to everyone and Byakuya addresses that Fuyohiko didn’t come after all. All the sudden Byakuya spots something dangeous, the food on the iron skewers. He starts to eat the food to collect the iron skewers. Byakuya asks us to come with him to the kitchen. We search the kitchen for any dangeous items, he takes the knives, and we go over the equipment list. Byakuya tells us about his past. Saying how he distrusted others and being distrusted in turn by people. He doesn’t go into detail, just saying eventually he might tell us. Teruteru comes into the kitchen, and he freaks out that Byakuya is taking all of his cooking utensils. We head back to the dining hall. Byakuya says that someone needs to guard the duralumin case and we need a place to guard it. We decide to put it in the office and Peko volunteers to guard it. Peko goes to the office to guard the case. Byakuya brings up another problem that might occur during the party. Monokuma showing up. Chiaki volunteers to keep a look with Monomi outside the building. We then start the party! Everyone starts to eat and Mahiru takes pictures. While everyone is having fun all of a sudden, the power goes out. Everyone starts to panic in the room. When the lights finally turn back on, Mikan trips and ends up in a compromising situation again! Sonia then shares with the group that Byakuya is missing. Nagito is worried and says he will check the storage room. He asks us to help and to look by the entrance. Everyone splits up to look for Byakuya. We talk to everyone in the building, then we head outside. We ask Chiaki if she has seen Byakuya but she hasn’t. We head back to the Dining Hall. When we all reconvene, Hioko brings up that no one was in the office even though Peko was supposed to be there. Akane says that something smells like blood. She says it’s coming from under the table in the back of the room. Hajime runs to the table and pulls back the cloth and Byakuya is laying under it in a pool of blood. Everyone starts to freak out. Monokuma appears and confirms that Byakuya is dead and that the first murder has occurred on Jabberwock island. Monokuma comes onto the monitor and says we have a certain amount of time before the class trial. We need to investigate until that time comes. Before we start investigating Mahiru volunteers to watch the crime scene and Mikan says she can examine the body. We go into Investigative mode. We start investigating in the Dining Hall first. We look at the A/C unit and there was a timer on it for 11:30P.M. We looked at the Duralumin case which had the key to the case Peko was guarding, therefore, none of the dangerous items Byakuya collected isn’t involved in this murder. We talk to Gundam who lost his Hell Hound Earring and because the gaps in the floorboards are wide enough it fell down below. We then talk to Mahiru. She shows us pictures of where everyone was in the room before the black out happened. We talk to Nagito and he says that Byakuya must have died sometime during the blackout. He says that maybe Ibuki heard something during the blackout. We talk to Mikan and she apologizes for her ending up in a compromising situation after the lights came back on. Next we look at the table where Byakuya is. Underneath the table there is glowing tape, night vision goggles, and a knife. We check out Byakuya’s body. We head out of the Dining Hall and talk to Ibuki. We ask her what she heard during the black out. Byakuya had made a statement when the lights went out. We head into the office and talk to Kazuichi. He thinks Peko is the killer because she didn’t stay in the office like she said she would.
