Daniel Agger: There is no excuse post Brøndby IF 0-1 Viborg FF 23/05/16
There was gone to the steel, as Brøndby Monday evening lost 1-0 to Viborg. Especially in the defense sailed home team around, and vice captain Daniel Agger admits also that it was not good enough.
- It was not the expression, we would come up with, and it's damn no excuse. It just was not good enough, says Daniel Agger to DR.
So is the game
Although Agger had to be retired with an injury during the first half because of Viborg Søren Frederiksen came too hard and late into a challenge. It has left Agger with bad pain in the ankle, and Thursday's showdown in Hobro is in danger middle stopper.
- Right now banks it loose. There's plenty of blood in there. It's a little hard to say anything, but I hope it's just the battle. It sits a bad place right between the calf and Achilles tendon, and there is not much space, says Agger who does not hold grudges.
- That's the way it is. It happens in football. It's part of the game, it's a contact sport and it must be accepted, he said.
- I would like to just see tomorrow. Hopefully it's bleeding, we can get away quickly. But we must take during the week.
With the defeat of Viborg is Brøndby remain in fourth plate in the Super League with 51. AaB, also chasing the European space, has two points fewer. There remain two plays during the season.
