Released in 1987, The Goonies II was the direct follow up to Konami's earlier title on the Famicom, MSX, and Nintendo Vs Arcade cabinet. The Fratellis have escaped from jail and kidnapped the Goonies; now Mikey Walsh must once again explore One Eyed Willy's labyrinth beneath the Fratelli's restaurant in order to rescue his friends and Annie the mermaid.

Gameplay: The Goonies 2 is a Metroid clone - Mikey will jump across platforms and battle 8-bit enemies with an arsenal of weapons including: a yo-yo, boomerang, bombs, and Molotov cocktails. Search out doors and switch to a first person perspective to hunt for items, clues, hidden passages, and captive Goonies in a point and click interface.
