In this video, I demonstrate wallcrawling to Quadraxis to get the Annihilator Beam, which in turn, was the final roadblock that prevented beating the game without collecting Dark Beam. With this in tow, the game can now be completed. This is good news for Max% No Dark Beam, as it means another Max% category exists and can get nearly every item. Since skipping Dark Beam requires the use of Item Loss Skip, the highest percentage for this category currently rests at 98%, because Hive Chamber B Missile is unobtainable.

This is a difficult wallcrawl because not only do you have to use Infinite Speed, you also have to deal with Lightshow. If you don't know what that is, Lightshow occurs when Samus unmorphs after the Morph Ball model unloads after performing Infinite Speed. This makes it impossible to see anything, as the camera's position is set at NaN (not a number. As a side effect, brightly colored shaped will be shown on screen (on Dolphin, the screen is just black because it does not emulate it properly). As a result, the only indicators to see if you are moving is the minimap (if its still visible), and the shapes that move if you hold the L Button. If you have "Hud Lag On," you cannot see the HUD at all, so you must turn it off to wallcrawl with Lightshow.

I mention if you have the minimap visible because there are cases in this game where if you unmorph with Lightshow you will lose access to the minimap and map. In this state, you cannot use Screw Attack. Also, opening the map then attempting to close it, change areas, or move to a different room causes the game to crash. You can keep the map in certain instances only, either from certain collision or camera triggers.

Massive shoutouts to Vertigo for helping me solve this as well as MrWhiskers for being the initial helper when I took on this endeavor a few years ago. I'm happy to see this finally become a reality and hope to sometime soon complete my Max% No Dark Beam playthrough with this knowledge.
