This time around I finish off the Divine Beast Cave, and defeat Dran at 32:53. I found it to be frustrating because sometime he'd attack you and you would fall into the pit. Strategy is to shoot him with Xiao so he lands and then hit him in the butt with Toan. Rinse and repeat this damage sponge.
Afterwards I finished making the residents of Norune Village happy and moved onto Matataki village and into Wise Owl Forest, which I found very frustrating. Eventually I found that you could sell some items so you can really stock up on bread, water and repair powder. Maximizing weapon health is very important.
