Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin is a ROMhack, er, I mean, update to Dark Souls 2 that changes enemy and item locations. It also seems designed to make this particular challenge that much harder, as the vanilla version is quite a bit more straightforward.

Now that I've acquired six copies of Emit Force, I have enough spell casts to make it through the rest of at least the base game, if not also the DLC areas. I have a few more tasks of which to take care first, notably trying to resolve Lucatiel of Mirrah's achievement. Since I have to defeat The Lost Sinner for her Old Soul for another achievement, I will defeat her with Lucatiel at my side.

Here's the checklist for the run:
0) Talk to Crestfallen Saulden (i.e. this game's Depression Knight) for the Gathering of Exiles achievement
1) Defeat the Executioner's Shard
2) Look for the remaining Estus Flask Shard
3) Get the Bonfire Ascetic from Drangleic Castle or the Dragon Sanctum
4) Burn a Bonfire Ascetic at No-Man's Wharf for the seventh copy of Emit Force
OPTIONAL: Defeat Flexile Sentry, then put one more point into attunement
