Dark Souls 3 Dancer of the Boreal Valley super low level guide tutorial + tricks and tips
This is a Dark Souls 3 Dancer of the Boreal Valley guide for beating the boss at any level, in this case level 17.
With the method used in the video, a skilled player should be able to beat the Dancer of the Boreal Valley even at level 1. It's definitely possible to beat this Dark Souls 3 boss without even getting hit once, but very difficult.
In the first stage, the only way to be flawless is to memorize all of his attacks. Stay close to the Dancer and roll to dodge his attacks. With enough practice it should be possible to beat down the first stage very quickly with even a weak weapon.
The second stage of the Dancer of the Boreal Valley is quite a bit harder. Because of the way the boss slashes it's very difficult to dodge without getting hit. With enough practice, even that should be possible for a very skilled individual, but most people don't want to spend that much time practicing just to beat the Dancer of the Boreal Valley at low levels.
The safe and somewhat consistent way to beat the dancer is to keep distance. Use the pillars in the corners of the room in a pinch to separate from the attacking coming from the dancer. Be careful of the stab attacks when on the other side of a pillar. Without being able to see the animation it's impossible to dodge the first stab attack.
There are two easy attacks that have good openings. When the dancer of the Boreal Valley uses a leap attack, roll to the back left of the boss. There's a circle swing after the leap, it starts on the back left of the boss, and ends on the back right/middle. When the leap comes in, always roll for this angle relative to the dancer. Then as soon as the back swing comes around, sprint in and take a charging slash. The dancers left hand will be slowly returning on their left side, right into the slash. Because of where the dancers swing ends, this area is the safest to slash at and still have time to get away before the next attack.
Even with perfect timing, it's still possible to be struck by the Dancer of the Boreal Valley without a good roll. Always run to the back side of the Dancer after getting some damage. If the Dancer decides to counter attack, it's much easier to dodge the attack if the Dancer has to turn around first. Don't ever run away in front of the boss whenever possible. If the Dancer counter attacks in front, it does two quick slashes first from its right, and then on its left. While it should be able to dodge these attacks, it's dramatically harder.
The other opening is when The Dancer of the Boreal Valley goes for a multi-spin attack. Run behind a pillar to stay safe, and as soon as it ends come running in for two slashes to a leg, and then continue running past the Dancer so it has to turn around in order to counter attack. If the boss does decide to counter attack, be prepared to roll dodge two attacks in a row.
With enough practice or skill, anybody should be able to beat the Dancer of the Boreal Valley at level 1, or any low levels with this method. While it's not the fastest way to beat stage 2 of the boss, it's definitely faster than dieing a few hundred times figuring out how to fight it quickly at low levels.
