Dark Souls Remastered: GLS Speedrun: 1:38:49: Pt. 2
I really think this is one of my better GLS runs, and I'm happy that it went so well. There isn't too many things that I did that were insane or off the walls, but there is a bit of "wait?" if you're new to DS1 speedruns, I'm sure.
The save and quit on Bed of Chaos does reset you to the fog gate, not only saving you time, but stress, as doing it "the normal way" is a nightmare, and can lead to getting swept off really fast. I think we can all agree, once this method was found, it really became the best method of BoC, as it trivialized an annoying fight, and didn't make you have to carry around BS like firebombs to launch at a specific angle - etc.
The BIG flex, that I am always proud of, is my 9:10, Seath tail-cut, that I know gives new players a hard time, as he's EXTREMELY aggressive when you get behind him, and his tails, by themselves, can be really annoying and weird to dodge. By waiting for him to slide over to the crystal, you trigger his breath attack, and that stun allows you to whack his tail off (it does get harder to do in NGP, though, but it is doable.
I am not great at Gwyn, but DS3 made me appreciate the fight, proper, with Soul of Cinder, and if you've played DS3, you should be able to dodge fairly well, but he is still very aggressive. I'm sure I can learn to parry a lot more of his attacks, but I parry what I know is safe, and what I know I can get away with.
