K-9 Unit is a „damge-stress“ team, here are roles of characters:
1st: Crusader (damage trinkets) - damage dealer
2nd: Houndmaster (dodge trinket + Target whistle) - damage dealer
3rd: Vestal (stun trinket + accuracy trinket) - healer
4th: Arbalest (damage trinket + healing trinket) - damage dealer
PROS:
1) Mark synergy (Houndmaster + Arbalest)
2) Great damage output
3) Great stress output
4) Good DoT output
5) Great healing potential
6) 3 stunners
CONS:
1) Stress is a menace
2) DoT is a menace
3) Disruption is a menace
4) RNGsus is a menace
K-9 Unit is a damage team with some strenght of stress and little bit of DoT. All characters can (self)heal, next you have 3 stunners and more important, the mark synergy. Sadly this team is vulnerable against stress and DoT teams.
I played a few strategies, such as „full stress“, „mix damage + stress“, „mark team“ and „support Crusader“. The „mark team“ is the best approach for this team.
My advice: Start with Houndmaster for marking someone, next use one of your stunners (Vestal / Crusader), lastly use Arbalest for dealing massive damage.
About score: I faced a novice player with 4 stunners (CRS-HND-ABM-VES). His ABM and HND hit my Crusader, but he resist the stun. The enemy Crusader tried to stun him, but he dodged that. In that moment, opponent surrenders. The match wasn’t even 1 minute long.
The team is nice! Even with the score, I can finally give some higher rating, instead of mid rate. I lost 3x, twice against darkest players, one with based team, one with DoT team. Both matches were nicely played (from both sides), SADLY, the RNGsus again screwed me badly in the end of match. The third lost match was against a veteran player with stress team. The „support Crusader“ strategy is very risky for playing.
Even with my bad luck, I like this team and recommend it!
