Slow advance is a „damage-stress“ team, here are roles of characters:
1st: Hellion (accuracy trinket + damage trinket) - damage dealer
2nd: Crusader (damage trinkets) - damage dealer
3rd: Occultist (dodge trinket + stress trinket) - stress dealer
4th: Plague doctor (accuracy trinket + stress trinket) - stress dealer
PROS:
1) Debuff synergy (Hellion + Plague doctor)
2) Great damage output
3) Great stress output
4) Good DoT output
5) Great healing potential
6) 2 deathblowers
7) 2 disruptors
CONS:
1) Marks are a menace
2) Stuns are a menace
3) Stress is a menace
4) DoT is a menace
5) Disruption is a menace
6) RNGsus is a menace
Slow advance is a damage team, that combines also stress and DoT. All characters can (self)heal, next you have 2 disruptors and 2 deathblowers (if we count Occultist’s „Sacrificial stab“ on afflicted character). Sadly this team is weak against mark and stress teams.
I played a few strategies, like „full stress“, „mix damage + stress“, „mix damage + DoT“, „support crusader“ and „the finishers“. The „full stress“ strategy is worthless. I tried both variantions of Hellion (damager / stresser), it’s better to stick with damage variantion.
My advice: Don’t you even try a stress strategy.
Horrible team. What else can I say? On paper it looks great, the reality is different. It’s nice, that you have a debuff synergy, but the other characters are useless for this. No matter how hard you’ll try, you will lose, like me. I faced (except these players) a few apprentice and darkest players, who defeated me easily. Apprentices because they had RNGsus on their side, darkests because of LAME based teams. One match I played against stress Bot - he defeats me. Playing this was like rally racing, everyone bet on you, but your car is wreckage.
