9This series features full gameplay of the what's now available of the sequel to the macabre and iconic Darkest Dungeon, Darkest Dungeon II. Red Hook was kind enough to provide me with an Early Access key and I couldn't wait to see what this game was like, even in this stage. It appears that they have changed the formula for DD quite a bit here--making it a roguelike, a la Slay the Spire, but with the same RPG mechanics we loved from the first game. The visuals are sick and the mood (and narrator) all return to make this game pretty unbelievable so far. It's hard, and grim, but that's Darkest Dungeon, baby!
