Darkest Dungeon Like Necromancer Power! -- Iratus Lord of the Dead -- #01
Iratus Lord of the Dead is an indie sidescrolling tactical Roguelike / RogueLite by Unfrozen.
A reverse Darkest Dungeon, where the Big Bad is you! Cool!
Battle your way through the 2D Dungeons born of Procedural Generation, and engage in Intense Turn Based Battles against the fools who dared to cage the Big Bad NecroMan!
A Darkest Dungeon Like, Iratus offers the turn-based tactical, position based, line based combat like Darkest Dungeon, but also allows the Dread Necromancer to lend a helping hand, letting you cast spells, move your allies, and bring your bad self to bear against your many foul foes. There is no passive, rich boy, inheritor action here; Iratus is a working man! And he’ll blow em down himself if he has to! It is good to see such ethics among the Necromancer class.
Turn Based Tactics is the name of the game here, as you literally assemble your team of 4 undead to begin your escape from your tomb, which also serves as your own little undead hamlet, darkest Dungeon style.
You pick your path as you push ever forward in the random dungeons, as Iratus is FAR too determined to ever fall back from the exit. Your undead monsters will lvl up, and increasing their abilities is not restricted to a blacksmith or trainer, you simply do it yourself. As I said, Iratus is a working-mans Necro-Mans!
More forgiving than Darkest Dungeon, as Iratus lets you loot the brains of your fallen foes and stuff them into the heads of your minions, making them the same lvl as the brain, though good brains are always in short supply!
Iratus even has difficulty options, and even includes an optional save mode that allows you to save and load whenever you want, like a non-rogue like if you wish. I do not wish, but it is an option if you do.
So, give this awesome Side-scrolling Roguelike / RogueLite a look with me?
