More Darktide build testing and this time I am trying out a somewhat classic Counterfire XII Lasgun build.

First of all the no brainers, you should pick Counter-Fire in most situations along with Relentless if you decide to go for Executioner's Stance. You will generally have less uptime and not be as tanky as before. I think the biggest problem here is that your ultimate doesn't reset anymore while on use.
There is no reason not to pick Tactical Awareness again imo since the uptime of every ability is considerably nerfed and pairs well with Marskman's dmg boost and Counter-Fire's relatively short cooldown; % Combat Ability Regen curios come in handy here as well. I would like this specific talent to be changed to something like 3-5s on Special or Elite kill and count while under the effects of your ultimate, it will make worlds of difference especially for clunkier higher cooldown abilities.
As a final note Orestes Assault Chainaxe is usable now to my eyes, still you might get rekt from the junky camera animatinon/lock that sometimes it literally teleport-flicks to a target making you to question your life choices.

PS: Another good alternative is commiting for Rending Strikes instead of Marksman, not sure what's best tbh.
