It's amazing how many cool games I never new existed or have played from the NES. Comparing this game to Mega Man is really a disservice. Other than being able to move and shoot that's really the only similarities. You don't beat bosses for power-ups, though you do get a limited stage select. You have 3 stages to choose from and when you beat those another 3 pop up and then a final stage. There are other weapons Darkwing Duck can pick-up throughout the levels and that's cool. You can only have 1 at a time and they have very limited ammo, but can be helpful. I'm not sure if the bosses are weaker to certain weapons or not. I did try and test it out I just wasn't very successful . Some of the bosses were a bit frustrating, but all of them seemed to have a simple strategy once you figured them out. It's a Capcom game so you know it's quality. Super fun game. Enjoy my blind playthrough.
