The story begins in 1993 in Lahore. As Tamkunat Begum completes her doctorate with top honors, her parents start searching for a suitable relationship for her. The first relationship that comes to them is that of Ikhlas Sahib, which is immediately accepted by their family because there is no reason to forbid it.

His personal qualities were tall, fair complexion, good manners, obedience, praying five times a day. By profession, working in a top government institution and also a homeo doctor. Her mother is also virtuous and bound to fast and salat, very simple and kind natured. As soon as the chit engagement is done, the marriage is executed.

Tamkunat Begum is also no less than Ikhlas Sahib. Tall with fair complexion. Not only advanced in studies, but also expert in housekeeping and cooking. Thus, within a few months, Tamkunat Begum, wearing a cloak of honor and prayers, married and became a part of Ikhlas Sahib's family.

By the grace of Allah, a son was born to Ikhlas Sahib and Tamkunat Begum in the first year of their marriage. Whose name is named Shah Zeb. Everything in the house smells of prosperity. Ikhlas Sahib's duties were very demanding, first at the office and then at his private clinic in the evening. When he reached home, Shahzeb would be asleep and Tamkunat Begum would be waiting for him. The nature of Ikhlas Sahib's work was such that he often had to travel to other cities and abroad. In the absence of Ikhlas Sahib, Tamkunat Begum would not only perform the household duties in a good manner, but would also take care of all the external tasks with aplomb.

After about a year, Allah Ta'ala blessed him with His mercy in the form of a daughter. The daughter is named Tarbiya. Mercy comes to the house, but also begins a trial that continues to this day. Tamkunat Begum falls victim to a disease that doctors are unable to understand.

Ikhlas Sahib's responsibilities increase substantially. After coming to the office, the clinic and then home, Tamkunat Begum would have to be taken to a doctor or hakim. Ikhlas Sahib arranged for a maid to clean the house and take care of the children, but Tamkunat Begum used to cook the food herself because Ikhlas Sahib did not like anyone else's food.

Ikhlas Sahib spared no effort in the treatment of Tamkunat Begum. What about the city itself, if he had to go to the sages or the people of Allah in faraway areas, then Ikhlas Sahib would have taken them, putting his fatigue behind him, without compromising his theories. Expensive medicines, top doctors, prescriptions of famous haqis and the admonitions of Purumshurd did not make any difference. Day by day Tamkunat Begum's health deteriorates. Low diet and use of medicine hollows them out from the inside.

Taking care of all the needs of Tamkunat Begum, buying high quality clothes for her, doing her hair, grooming her are the hobbies of Ikhlas Sahib. Tamkunat Begum's back is bent, hands and feet have lost strength, the way of talking has changed but what has not changed is Tamkunat Begum's cheerfulness. The most surprising thing is that Ikhlas Sahib does not hesitate to take Tamkunat Begum anywhere, be it a feast or a wedding ceremony.

Years pass and the time of Tarbiya's marriage arrives, for which all the preparations are made by Ikhlas Saheb and both happily send their daughter away.

A long period of 28 years, Tamkunat Begum has lived and is still living only with the support of Ikhlas Sahib's positive attitude, compassionate service, humorous sentences and comforting, hopeful words. Sometimes she is also surprised by Ikhlas Sahib's endless love, sincere behavior and faithfulness, but then she thinks that maybe this is the reward of my good deeds.
