Day 16 | Pulau Kadidiri Togean National Park
6After my last documentary, we spent another 2 days in Togo Eang on the Island of Ampana. We had just lots of chill, no electronics, beautiful days. The last day, as you saw in the first minute of the video, was our previous snorkelling on the same beach. And the people you saw are my new family there!
Then we went to Wakai, planning to stay on Kadidiri Island for a few nights before continuing our ferry trip to Gorontalo. We are supposed to wait for our fastboat but we choose to ride motorbike instead with the locals, of course much longer trip 2 hours on the bumpy road but we had lots of great conversation and its fun!
Kadidiri Island is in the Togean National Park Area and is stunning, the corals, everything! However, note that access to clean water, electricity, and internet there is very, very limited. For example,the water tap only turns on for particular hours (they need to take the water from another island), there is only paid wifi, and only accessible for android users (also very, very expensive). There are no problems tho if you are not planning to work from there! The overnight stay in Kadidiri Paradise includes 2x meals daily, and the foods are pretty good.
On our first day, we rented snorkel gear and snorkelled the whole day, then we made a few new friends from the diving club there and went with them to sail a little bit closer to another island to get a signal lol. It was fun!
The next day we went kayaking, planning to explore the whole island and go all around it, but google maps showed a different expectation, so we went round trip for around 3 hours. Veryyy tiring, especially when the sun was right on top of us. But one of my most memorable experiences. The sea is soo sooo sooo beautiful, from blue to green. I saw many beautiful big birds flying along the way, and so many fishes, even some of them jumped.
Would love to repeat this experience one day!
