Day Dreamin' Davey Game Sample - NES
Day Dreamin' Davey... LOL. It's an okay and imaginative game, simply put. Developed by Sculptured Software and published by HAL Laboratory in the U.S. in 1992, you play with the titular Davey, an ordinary kid with a not-so-ordinary imagination. While doing typical kid things and dealing with typical kid problems, Davey drifts off into dreamlike-states where you must complete the various fantasies he has conjured up successfully in order to escape, somehow giving him the ability or courage to easily overcome obstacles in "the real world" a kid in his position would have difficulty doing otherwise. Each level has different objectives, themes, and items to aid you in conjunction to different characters you will interact with.
The graphics are decent, the music and sounds aren't very good (the voice clips are funny though), the gameplay is functional (hit-detection and button delay ranges from precise to awful, but doesn't make things too difficult in spite of this), and the gameplay is passable, but if you're looking for the best games you can get, don't bother with this one; there are simply better games of its kind. This is a video of the game in action. Enjoy.
