There's a video going around (okay, it's by me) of a single Makarov shot bringing down a helicopter. It's an obvious fake as I point out at great length in the annotations. That doesn't stop dozens of people leaving "FAKE" comments like they're some latter-day Sherlock.

After months of trying, here's a video of a helicopter being brought down by a Makarov. Okay, so it took five shots, but here it is. Enjoy.
