This is my first attempt at playing DayZ, a mod for ARMA II, that puts you in Chernarus, a 225 km2 post-soviet state, currently in the middle of a zombie infestation.

After about an hour of trying different servers, downloading again the mod files, and restarting my PC several times, I was finally able to spawn by one of the beaches and begin my exploration.

After my first kill, I made my way inside a house and found a rifle, which I just had to test right away. This resulted in a horde of zombies attacking the house, and eventually killing me... but not before I blasted a couple dozen undead back to Hell.
