Level/Niveau 1: An Unexpected Visitor

(EN) The Merry Christmassy Doom Project is the 7th project created on Doomer Boards. It was released on February 5, 2019.

The Doomer Boards Projects (or DBP for short) are a month long mapping event created by Jon Vail (40oz) that take place every month on Doomer Boards. On the 1st of each month the current project leader will post a resource pack containing a set of custom textures, midis, and sometimes new dehacked monsters and weapons. The projects are limit-removing episodes for Doom 2.

Vail managed the first 6 Doomer Boards Projects until he stepped away from the Doom community completely in late 2018. Subsequent DBPs have had a variety of project leaders. In 2020, Vail returned to helm the 23rd installment.

The series as a whole has been well received, with the first six installments mentioned in the 2018 Cacowards under the "Recommend me a coffee break mapset" section. The series's 16th installment, Cyb's Freaky Colonoscopy, was one of the runner-ups in the Cacowards 2019.

Les projets Doomer Boards (ou DBP en abrégé) sont un événement de cartographie d'un mois créé par Jon Vail (40 oz) qui a lieu chaque mois sur Doomer Boards. Le 1er de chaque mois, le chef de projet actuel publiera un pack de ressources contenant un ensemble de textures personnalisées, des midis et parfois de nouveaux monstres et armes déhackés. Les projets sont des épisodes de suppression de limites pour Doom 2.

Vail a géré les 6 premiers projets Doomer Boards jusqu'à ce qu'il se retire complètement de la communauté Doom fin 2018. Les DBP suivants ont eu une variété de chefs de projet. En 2020, Vail est revenu à la tête de la 23e tranche.

La série dans son ensemble a été bien accueillie, avec les six premières tranches mentionnées dans les Cacowards 2018 sous la section «Recommandez-moi une carte de pause-café». Le 16e épisode de la série, Freaky Colonoscopy de Cyb, était l'un des finalistes des Cacowards 2019.
