Dbrand’s Ghost case replacement is delayed further for 2.0 version
Dbrand's Ghost case, one of the best-looking clear cases on the market, has faced quality control issues and delays. The case, which was designed to be protective and anti-yellowing, arrived at customers' doorsteps with visible scratches. In response, Dbrand decided to redesign the case and offer free replacements to anyone who purchased the original Ghost case. However, the replacement cases have been delayed due to manufacturing issues with the scratch-resistant design.
The Ghost case lineup from Dbrand is not extensive, consisting only of the Grip case and the Ghost case. The Ghost case is a clear case with ridges along the edges that provide grip and support to the phone. From a design perspective, it looks great and allows the phone's design to shine through. Unfortunately, the quality control issues have overshadowed the case's positive features.
Many customers who ordered the Ghost case were disappointed to find visible scratches on the case upon arrival. While cases made of plastic are prone to scratching over time, they should not arrive already scratched. The widespread nature of the issue led Dbrand to redesign the case and offer free replacements to affected customers. However, the replacement cases have been delayed due to manufacturing issues with the scratch-resistant design.
According to an email from Dbrand to customers who ordered the original Ghost case, the company is delaying the replacement even further due to manufacturing issues with the scratch-resistant design. The first prototypes of the new case came out great, but the mass-produced versions had serious defects, such as inconsistent and gummy edges. Dbrand halted production on the new anti-scratch and anti-yellowing cases immediately.
As a result, Dbrand has officially discontinued the Ghost case. However, the company is not leaving customers in the lurch. Dbrand will be releasing a Ghost 2.0 case that has been in development since November, and anyone who ordered the original Ghost case will receive a Ghost 2.0 case for free.
Many customers are understandably upset about the delays and quality control issues. The original Ghost case was priced at $50, and customers who received scratched cases were promised a replacement. However, the replacement cases have been delayed, and customers will now have to wait for the Ghost 2.0 case. Despite the delays, Dbrand is taking responsibility for the issue and offering a free replacement to affected customers.
If you purchased the original Ghost case from Dbrand, keep an eye on your email for updates on the Ghost 2.0 case. Although the wait time may be longer than expected, Dbrand is committed to making things right for its customers.
