ZTE to unveil multiple Nubia AI phones next month, flagship model coming mid-year
ZTE Corporation, a prominent global telecommunications provider, is embracing the AI revolution by expanding its AI smartphone offerings. During its 2023 performance briefing, the company announced plans to release multiple new Nubia AI mobile phones throughout the year, with a flagship AI device scheduled for mid-year.
These upcoming devices will be powered by ZTE's Nebula OS system, connecting to a centralized AI platform that utilizes large models, big data, and 3D technology. ZTE promises full-stack AI integration across imaging, performance, and security features for its AI smartphones.
ZTE has already launched several innovative products in 2024, including the Nubia Flip 5G foldable phone, the Nubia Pad 3D Ⅱ tablet, the Nubia Focus 5G and Pro 5G, and the China-exclusive Z60 Ultra smartphone.
The company's commitment to innovation is evident in its strong financial performance in 2023. ZTE reported a net profit of 9.325 billion yuan, marking a significant 15.41% year-on-year increase. Total operating income in 2023 was 124.2509 billion yuan, a 1.05% increase compared to the previous year. The group's gross profit margin was 41.53%, a year-on-year increase of 4.34 percentage points, largely due to better gross profit margins across its core businesses. Operating costs decreased by 5.93% to 72.6503 billion yuan, primarily due to cost reductions in the government, enterprise, and consumer business sectors.
These impressive financial results demonstrate ZTE's ability to invest in the competitive AI mobile phone market, providing consumers with cutting-edge AI-powered devices.
