This McFarlane Toys’ DC Multiverse Batman with Battle Damage Target Exclusive is based on his appearance from the Dark Nights: Metal comic. This is an accurate representation of the character, although McFarlane has embellished the sculpt with a wide variety of textures, such as hard edges on his utility belt and the leathery feel of his gloves. The damage details are tastefully sculpted, and combined with the ripped cape give the appearance of Batman having a bad day at the office. His articulation is good at the waist and arms, but he can’t tilt his head back and the codpiece limits his leg movement. Accessories include a couple of axes that look very cool in his hands; the details on them are nice too. They’re not a perfect fit though; the trigger fingers indicate the hands might be recycled from another figure. Paint apps are fairly clean all over Batman but the axes are a little sloppy. On a scale of S to F, I rate him a B; the figure is generally of great quality with mostly clean paint but limited articulation in a couple of key places limit his potential.
