I decided to record these campaign missions again since DCS World has been upgraded to 2.5.5 and the new M-2000C cockpit released.
This is the first mission in the campaign for the Mirage 2000C in DCS 2.5.5. The Mirage 2000C is a single-engine multi-role fighter capable of firing long range missiles and dropping precision guided munitions (using a laser on the ground). It's very maneuverable and is a testament to French aircraft engineering.
The campaign covers some initial training exercises that expand upon the training missions for the M2000C. It's highly recommended to complete all the training missions prior to starting the campaign, as the campaign expands on knowledge acquired during the training.
In this mission, I'm tasked with flying on the wing of flight leader in order to test out the fly-by-wire system. It has two modes, much like in the F-16, one for A/A engagements with 100% maneuverability and a second one for heavy stores, which reduces maneuverability and G-Load to minimize possible damage to the wings. Flight lead walks me through the startup sequence, and I return to base with a touch-and-go landing.
I'm using a jitter fix for my CH Pro Throttle. I kept getting the same jitter no matter what USB port I used, so I'm happy someone had a software solution to the problem. You can find out more about this here:
