DCS AH-64D Apache Longbow • Hercules Down (Full Mission Playthrough)
Been a while since I flew the Apache in DCS. There were some changes apparently - the SAS has been apparently tweaked, but keeping this thing stable at slow speeds is still a lot of work (and trimming).
Regarding avionics, there is now the ability to track up to 3 targets automatically (with TADS) but since I flew the entire mission from pilot's seat there was no chance to showcase it (it does do work - I have tested it).
Goerge AI (CP/G) still needs a lot of hand holding. He wont detect targets on his own, you need to point him in the right direction first. This mission was easy, but if there were SAMs or advanced AAAs threats I would probably ended dead. Goerge should at least report sighted threats (he has TADS after all) because if you wont tell him to look in particular direction he will just be a passive passenger.
I didn't noticed any more new features, FCR is still being worked on. I think I would preferred to have Alpha model at this point instead of the Longbow.
