I've got a question recently about my latest Helicopter Gunship DEX video, but regarding Apache in DCS - is it possible to zoom IHADSS image in pilot's view in DCS Apache as in HGD? I had to check that out as I was curious myself. I knew it was possible to display PNVS or TADS on pilot's IHADSS but wasn't sure if TADS image could be zoomed when used as NVS (Night Vision System).

I wasn't able to make it work in pilot's seat, but in CP/G position it is possible.

When in CP/G seat you need to switch acquisition to GHS (Gunner Helmet Sight) and press Slave on RHG (Right Hand Grip) - TADS will now follow your head movement and you will be able to use TADS zoom controls. Note that when using TADS as NVS in CP/G seat, you will not be able to zoom the TADS image.

If anyone knows if it's possible to do from pilot's seat please leave a comment.
