In this lesson, we'll learn how to use radar modes that are useful in beyond visual range encounters:
- Long Range Search (LRS) mode provides range and azimuth information for multiple targets.
- Single Target Track (STT) mode focuses the radar on a single target at the exclusion of others, providing detailed targeting information and robust target tracking.
- Home On Jam (HOJ) mode passively locks on to a jamming target, but provides only target azimuth and elevation.
- Track While Scan (TWS) mode tracks less robustly than LRS, but provides more targeting information, such as azimuth and elevation, for all detected targets.
