A player whose nickname is YAGA is arguably the ablest DCS PvP player when it comes to air combat. In the past three weeks, I had NOT seen him downed, not even once while he managed to down so many players on my side. He had downed me three times in the past three weeks . I decided to go hunting for him. I went deep into enemy territory, which was covered by many SAM systems.

There is ZERO corroborated transcendence. Luck played a role. The ace had no missile left and was low on fuel. Enemy SAM systems were operated by enemy player(s). I landed at Beirut, on a friendly air base.

In the past three weeks, I had never seen this player (YAGA) shot down, and he always managed to down so many on our side each time.

YAGA's mistake was not setting aside reserve fuel and missiles for the journey back to base, but his method was perfect. Flying extremely low to avoid radar detection and relying on friendly SAM sites covering his return. I knew he would do that. My method was perfect too. Flying extremely low to avoid enemy SAM detection and engagement. Not switching on radar unless I knew there was something relatively close, and employing the TWS radar mode, instead of the RWS mode. I dodged multiple SAMs fired at me.

I transcended YAGA was after our Harrier, but the Harrier was downed by SAM on its way to safety, so this was uncorroborated. I was sure though. I also transcended YAGA wanted to go after me (minute 30:00), which I verified with the datalink display (Minute 32:00), I knew which red plane was his, but he then went after an AI plane which I think was one of our two AWACS. I knew his location, so I went in in pursuit deep behind enemy lines since he wasn't coming out.

Edit: Upon a review, YAGA downed a newer Harrier nearer to Beirut, not one of our AWACS, he chose the closer target. He also downed one of our AWACS though.
Edit2: YAGA downed 7 aircraft in his tally with 340 points. It means 6 x 50 fighter aircraft + 1 x 40 attack aircraft. No AWACS which would give him 100 points.
