This was a pretty good rundown, I guess. I'm still getting used to autoexplore and other quick motions in commands, but hopefully it'll get better as we go.

I suppose one thing I really need to keep track of are all the staircases. Three up, three down, and various escape hatches and stairwells in between. Sometimes it helps you go somewhere you wouldn't otherwise reach, sometimes it's just a waste of time, but either way I am absolutely compelled to check them for the time being.

Quick question (feels like this is gonna be a recurring description bit): can you carry corpses as a way to retain food freshness, or do they and their subsequently-chopped flesh have a shared rot timer? Seems like a possible way to deal with hunger in a more sophisticated manner, if doable.

Finally, while I am very grateful for all the comments, I just want to remind everyone that I don't want anything too spoilerific. Doesn't seem like it's popped up yet, so thanks in advance, but I do like to keep these playthroughs relatively blind as I go.
