As you may know, Dai is currently making a random attack patch for DDC. He previously made one for LoLK, and it was pretty fun to mess around with in pointdevice on lower difficulties. But DDC has no pointdevice, so the obvious solution is to "just" add pointdevice to DDC, duh.


This does not quite work like LoLK pointdevice. Not everything is saved and quite a few things are really janky, so the ECL code has to be written carefully around the custom instruction that creates a snapshot. It also does not save the save data to a file, so the clear has to be done in 1 sitting. But on the plus side, replays works! Anyone ever wanted pointdevice replays?


There are still a few issues that need to be fixed. Most notably, there still seem to be some instances where restoring a snapshot crashes when it shouldn't. But there are also minor problems like some wait instruction jank, stage background/music not being saved and a possible softlock where you get repeatedly killed when snapshot gets restored again and again. But other than that, it works!
