From 8/8/17.

Recorded from outside the DDOT Shoemaker Terminal, here are some of the active fleets including the others that are out of service and of course the retired NFI D40LFs and four NovaBus RTSs 82VN.

DDOT 2010 New Flyer D40LF #1033 - As you may recall, coach #1033 was operating on route 16 Dexter heading northbound to Southfield when it was struck from the front from the speeding Ford Escape--who blew past the stop sign along with the other vheicle--which caused the bus to lose control and crash into the Sun Valley Foods grocery store building. It is currently out of service as of 5/26/17. UPDATE 6/17/19: This bus has been repaired and returned to service during the winter, I think.
DDOT 2001 NovaBus RTS-06 82VN #3773, #3811, #3741 & #3750 - All 4 remaining RTS buses resides at the Shoemaker Terminal; I think they are being scrapped for spare parts; the rest of the RTS units have since been removed from the property and are no longer available at the terminal including the retirement yard. These buses were retired between 2014 & 2015 and replaced with 2014-2015 NFI Xcelsior XD40s, 2015 XDE40s and 2015 XD60 articulated units.

Here are the 6 D40LF units that have been abruptly retired from the service due to vehicular accidents or fire damage. These buses will not be overhauled and returning to service anytime soon and is currently being scrapped for spare parts.

DDOT 2003 New Flyer D40LF #3942 & #3946
DDOT 2004 New Flyer D40LF #3979
DDOT 2005 New Flyer D40LF # #4126, #4136 & #4166
DDOT 2010 New Flyer D40LF #1033 (repaired and returned to service)
