In this video, I interview Deshaun, also known as "PerfectAsymmetry" in the early days of New York City Dance Dance Revolution. Deshaun was the best player in New York, arguably the best player on the East Coast, and one of the best players in the country during his time competing in DDR. His involvement on the DDR community in 2001-2004 was extremely influential and helped shape the beginnings of the NYC DDR community.

We talk about his beginnings in Dance Dance Revolution, other players like Jimin "Vagrant Fiend", Matthew "Big Matt" Staniecki, and Shawn "Ironfoot" Tinling being influential in his gameplay, what it was like to play DDR 3rd Mix, 5th mix, Max 2, and DDR Extreme, competing with other players in different regions of the country, winning one of the biggest DDR tournaments during his time playing, and what it is like playing DDR now compared to the early 2000s.
