Dead Cells - How To Unlock The Up To The Eyeballs In Debt RARE Achievement! Tips In The Description!
7In order to unlock the Up To The Eyeballs In Debt achievement, you must win a run with the maximum amount of debt. This is a TOUGH one, but with a little luck (and probably a few tries), you can earn this very rare achievement (currently, less than 2% of Players have it). Below, I will list how I went about doing it after MANY tries, and MANY failures.
First off, you need to find a golden chest that leads to the Bank. These will show up in the rest areas in-between biomes. If you see a chest in one of them, it will be golden, and have 2 of the thief enemies on top of it. Kick open the chest and head inside.
Once you are inside the Bank biome, head past the NPC that drops the key, and there will be a golden ATM right behind them. Interact with the ATM 10 times to accrue a $20,000 debt. This is the maximum debt you can accumulate. Make sure to grab the key!
Now, with the key and $20,000 debt, you want to get to the exit as quickly as possible. While you make your way to the exit, KEEP AS MANY ENEMIES ALIVE AS POSSIBLE! We will get to this soon, but trust me, this will make this so much easier. The first key you get will lead you to a path that will have another key at the end. I found that usually this second key will unlock the door that leads to ANOTHER key, but also the exit as well.
Once you are going down the path that leads to the exit, again, keep as many enemies alive as possible. Run if you have to, and only kill what you must (mainly, the annoying golden grenade bat enemies). Once you reach the door that leads to the exit, it will allow you to settle your debt. DO NOT DO THIS! This will automatically void your achievement, and you will have to try again! Instead, BREAK DOWN THE DOOR!
Now comes the tricky part! Once you break the door down, you will get a message saying that you have outraged the Gods, and you will be Cursed. You must now kill 100 enemies without getting hit a SINGLE time! Taking any form of damage will instantly kill you. Now you see why we left all those enemies alive beforehand. 100 enemies is a LOT to kill, and it is best to do it in this biome, as the next one can be a boss fight, and lots of frustration (I had to restart quite a few times because the next biome was a boss....).
Head back through the level, killing every enemy you passed. Use as many cheap tricks as you can (like the Giant Whistle since it can get enemies through walls), and take your time! Just be patient and take it slow, all it takes is one mistake to do this all over again. Whenever you see a Gold Gorger, kill it first! It absorbs money from nearby slain enemies to transform, so make sure to not let that happen. The one enemy to REALLY look out for is an Elite Gold Gorger. This enemy alone is what makes this achievement so difficult (if you plan on killing the 100 enemies in the Bank biome). They can teleport to you, and have a really big AOE attack. Avoid them at all costs if possible!
Once you have slain 100 enemies, regardless if you did it in the Bank, or another level, head to the final Boss of whichever path you choose. Kill the final boss, and once the Credits start to roll, the achievement will unlock! CONGRATS if you got this one! This was NOT easy, and I am so glad I never have to try it again lol
