In order to unlock the Plank Walk achievement, you must use the Hand Hook to throw an enemy into spikes. Before I put the steps here, I wanted to mention that I have done this multiple times in the Castlevania biomes, but it did NOT seem to work. I must have thrown 3-4 enemies in spikes, but it never popped. If you are going for this achievement, maybe don't use these biomes just to be on the safe side. Below, I will mention the biome that is PERFECT for this.

To get the Hand Hook blueprint, you must farm out Armored Shrimps, which can be found in the Infested Shipwreck biome. These enemies are the big purple enemies that come out of ceilings and walls, and have long legs. The Blueprint drop rate seems to be really low, so you may have to try a few times over the course of multiple runs, so set your sights on making a path to the Infested Shipwreck. Once you have the Blueprint, it costs 60 Cells to fully unlock the weapon.

The Hand Hook is a 2-hit combo weapon, and on the second hit, you will throw the enemy behind you. My two biggest tips to have the best chance at getting this achievement are:

1) Try to get a Hand Hook that does NOT throw a dagger when you use it. This often leads to the enemy dying well before the second hit lands, and is frustrating. So many times I tried for this achievement, and I would get a Hand Hook that would just kill the enemies before I could even throw them.

2) When you get Scrolls of Power, do NOT beef up the Hand Hook. Try to keep it as weak as possible, as this is another way to keep enemies alive long enough to endure being hit. If you need to, grab a secondary weapon and use that when you are not around spikes.

With the Hand Hook unlocked, you can go about trying for this achievement in a few ways. One way is to just rely on RNG for it to drop, and hopefully get a level with spikes in it. However, if you want to make this SO MUCH easier, I would suggest "rerolling" the tubes in the starting biome. Basically, start a run, and then check the 3 tubes with items. If there is not a Hand Hook in one of them, pause, and then Restart. Check the tubes again for a Hand Hook, and then just repeat this process until one is available.

If you choose to "reroll" the tubes for the Hand Hook (and I HIGHLY recommend taking this approach), you can head to the Dilapidated Arboretum, which is an exit from the starting biome. The Dilapidated Arboretum has MANY spikes in the biome, and since you can access it right from the starting biome, you don't have to waste a lot of time going through other biomes. It's up to you how you want to do this, but this will save you a bunch of time and frustration.

Whatever way you choose to go about this, just get a Hand Hook, find an enemy near some spikes, place yourself between the spikes and the enemy with your back facing the spikes, and hit the enemy with the Hand Hook's two hit combo. If you are successful, the second attack will throw the enemy behind you and into the spikes, and the achievement will unlock!
