It's a party based survival game. You go on scavenging expeditions. You assign characters to tasks. Lots of things you need to take care of for character survival, although dehydration is not a stat but a state. You have to make choices sometimes which can require a stat check and may have an effect on things. There's also turn based combat which functions okay. The game is quite sluggish until you get at least six characters on your team. The main gripe is probably having to switch between screens or stations all the time to find information for a given situation. That makes the user interface and game feel very dated/cumbersome and a chore to play through.
