DEAD ISLAND 2 - Steam users will have to wait a year because of Epic Games Store Exclusivity on PC
124I am tired of the Epic games store removing the freedom of choice when it comes to gaming on PC. They pay these companies a big lump sum up front to make their games an exclusive or timed exclusive on their platform instead of allowing gamers the freedom to choose where they want to purchase their games. This is completely anti consumer and something needs to change. Its time that gamers vote with their wallets.
This is what I wrote last year - I personally am sick and tired of the epic games store paying for time exclusivity on their platform. Dambuster may make money up front, but overall they will make less money because they will sell way less copies on the epic store. If it released on both steam and the epic game store at the same time I would have no issue, and in fact they would make more money that way. Unfortunately that is not the case and steam users will be waiting a year for the game to come to steam. This practice of epic game store timed exclusivity is anti - consumer.
