Dead Island 2 was recently revealed (again) at Gamescom a week ago, so I would figure it would be nice to show you guys what the game was going to look like had Yager not been cut from the project.

A little bit of history:
Dead Island 2 was originally going to be made by developer Techland, but a little while later Techland broke away from the Dead Island 2 project to work on Dying Light instead. In Q3 of 2012, Yager Development then pitched the game to Deep Silver, and got the deal, thus making them the development team behind Dead Island 2. Yagar's version was first revealed at Sony's E3 2014 press conference with a cinematic trailer and slated for a Q2 2015 release window. Then, at Gamescom 2014, Yager Development revealed a first look at gameplay of Dead Island 2. Only a fraction of the weapon mods and zombies were shown, and a lot of the locations were still being actively worked on at Yager. In July of 2015, Deep Silver had cut Yager away from the Dead Island 2 project because, according to Deep Silver, "Yager and Deep Silver's respective visions of the project fell out of alignment". Sooner or later, in 2020, rumors began circulating that a fully playable build of Yager's version of Dead Island 2 was available. In June of 2020, a build marked with the date June 19th, 2015 was discovered and leaked by 4chan. Sooner or later, it spread through word of mouth, and everyone downloaded this build of Dead Island 2 that was made right before Yager was cut from the Dead Island 2 project.
