Following the chaotic events of the original Dead Question, the zombie apocalypse rages on, and the survivors must face a new wave of danger in an abandoned factory. This time, a group of unlikely heroes bands together to stop the lingering threat of the Zombie King, who somehow survived his defeat and is plotting a dark transformation to grow even stronger.

The story begins at a rundown factory with a small shed serving as a temporary refuge. The protagonists include:

Johnhtan, a skeleton with a chainsaw embedded in his torso, humorously nicknamed the "boner saw."
Bren, a no-nonsense ex-military man armed with a rocket launcher and a sharp tongue.
Brank, a clumsy army rookie struggling to prove himself.
John, a police officer armed with nothing but his bare hands and unshakable determination.
The group is ambushed by a massive zombie at the factory entrance. Johnhtan charges into battle with his "boner saw" but is quickly overwhelmed. Bren steps in, heroically obliterating the giant zombie with his last rocket. Their victory is short-lived, as they encounter a series of bizarre zombies, including a "blue hoodie zombie," which Johnhtan defeats with a comedic twist, earning a few groans and laughs from the team.

As they explore the factory, the group discovers a water-filled area where they meet Franky, a zombie who abandoned his allegiance to the Combine after their fall. Franky goes to a security room, but same with Brank. Brank mistakes him for an enemy and attacks, seemingly killing him. However, Franky survives and later saves Johnhtan, who sinks due to his heavy skeleton frame. This incident leads to humorous banter and growing camaraderie between the characters.
Amid the chaos, the Zombie King reveals himself, having survived his previous defeat. He plans to evolve into a powerful "Old Man King" by harnessing the dark energy of the factory and taking over the multiverse. The group devises a plan to stop him, leading to a climactic showdown.
During the battle, the Zombie King begins a dramatic monologue, giving the group a chance to strategize. Bren takes matters into his own hands, interrupting the speech with a direct rocket blast, finally destroying the king. Just as the dust settles, Joey and Canadian, survivors from the original group, arrive, delivering a bittersweet reflection on the cost of survival.
